The NEBOSH Fire Certificate would benefit managers, supervisors and employee representatives that have been designated with fire responsibilities.

It equips delegates to conduct and review fire risk assessments in most, low-risk workplaces and enables them to identify preventative and protective measures in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and/or the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006.

This NEBOSH accredited qualification is divided into three units, each of which is assessed separately:

  • Management of Health and Safety (NGC1)*
  • Managing and controlling hazards in construction activities (NCC1)
  • Health and safety practical application (NCC2)

*If you have passed the NGC1 in the last 5 years you only have to attend the last 10 days of our NEBOSH Construction course plus the exam.

The NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety has been designed to cover the key legal requirements for Health and Safety within the UK. This training course looks at the identification and control of construction workplace hazards and addresses the practical application of this knowledge on site.

Assessments: Two two-hour written examination papers and a practical assessment must be completed in order to successfully complete this course and receive the full NEBOSH Certificate in Construction.
Certification: On successful completion delegates receive a unit certificate, if all three units are passed delegates will receive the full NEBOSH Certificate in Construction qualification.

National Construction Certificate 2 (NCC2)

Unit NCC2 is assessed by a two-hour practical examination carried out in the candidate’s own workplace to test the application of taught health and safety principles in a construction workplace. The assessment must normally be taken within 14 days of a written examination. The practical examination is internally assessed by us and marked by an experienced and qualified safety professional.
