Now that the UK’s transition period (from leaving the EU) has ended, the EU GDPR has been brought into UK law and sits alongside other data protection laws and regulations. The General Data Protection Regulation has brought together years of different laws and regulations and combines them into a single technology-neutral piece of legislation which will form the foundation of data protection law for years to come.
This course provides employees with an understanding of their duties and responsibilities when it comes to processing personal data under the GDPR in the UK.
What you will learn:
- Understand the difference between a Data Controller, Data Processor, and Data Subject
- Have a clear understanding of the 7 Principles of the GDPR and how they apply to the work you do
- Understand what the UK GDPR aims to achieve and why it exists
Assessment: Delegates must complete a multiple-choice test.
Certification: On successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a certificate.
Licenses will be available for 4 weeks and the course must be completed within this timescale.
