UKATA Asbestos Awareness

Asbestos Awareness training would benefit anyone who through their normal work activities could be exposed to materials containing asbestos in the workplace. Particularly those working in the refurbishment, construction and maintenance industries.

This half-day course aims to provide candidates with theoretical training to enable them to demonstrate a good level of asbestos awareness in order to protect themselves and those around them from the effects of exposure to asbestos.

Please note this course does not train you to work with asbestos-containing materials.

This half-day training course can be delivered at your chosen premises from £495+VAT for up to 15 delegates.

What you will learn

• Accurately identify common asbestos products
• An overview of the legislative measures in place to permit employees to safeguard themselves and others affected by work activities from asbestos
• Identify where asbestos may be found in buildings or in the workplace
• An understanding of the hazards, health risks and controls associated with the accidental disturbance of asbestos

Assessment: Delegates must complete a written test.

Certification: On successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a UKATA certificate valid for one year.
