The words “performance management” are often associated with having difficult conversations, disciplinary hearings or conducting the annual appraisal, all of which have negative connotations for staff and managers alike. More enlightened thinking recognises that performance management is an ongoing process and that it is just as important to manage good performance as it is to manage poor performance. This workshop explores this shift in viewpoint and shows how performance management can be used to improve morale and engagement.
This course is designed to provide delegates with a working definition of performance management and explore different tools and techniques that can be used in the workplace.
