Let’s start the new year in the right way by putting the nation’s health as one of our main priorities. Bad health can cause your employees to under perform, focusing on your employees’ health and wellbeing is vital to a successful business.
Join in National obesity awareness week and make a positive change!
Obesity is an ever growing problem with currently 62.9% of adults being overweight or obese. It is important that we are all aware of the health risks involved in being overweight; these include:
- Heart disease
- Musculoskeletal disorders
What can we do this year to help us become healthier?
- Eat more fruit, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains
- Exercise, even moderately, for at least 30 minutes a day
- Cut down your consumption of fatty and sugary foods
- Use vegetable-based oils rather than animal-based fats
It is important for employees to be healthy and well. Eating healthy, nutritious food and exercising regularly helps people to become more motivated. This can have such a positive impact on the productivity of a business because employees are more likely to give good customer service, provide commitment and creativity as well as having fewer sick days. We all need to be aware of the relationship between our jobs and our mental and physical wellbeing.
We are joining in the national New Year’s resolution to help improve the nation’s health, will you join too?
