Steve Wiskin from THSP Risk Management has been shortlisted as a finalist for Trainer of the Year at the forthcoming RailStaff Awards on 8th October 2016. These awards show recognition to the great work of those who work in the rail industry.
Steve is very passionate about Behavioural Based Safety and the way it challenges the behaviours of all staff, consequently reducing the likelihood of any safety related incidents or accidents occurring. At its very core Behaviour Based Safety is about applying solutions to real world problems.
Steve’s Behavioural Based Safety programme has already been merited with a number of awards including the Safety Innovation Awards and was Highly Commended at the annual IOSH awards.
Steve Wiskin said:
“It is an honour to have been nominated for Trainer of the Year but to be a finalist is tremendous. This award isn’t about me it is about the people I train. The behavioural change programmes would not be the success they are now without the attendees support, engagement and ownership of training.”
