THSP would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their patience and support during these difficult times. We would also like to send our best wishes for their health and that of their employees and families.
These are unprecedented times, and the effects of the pandemic are being felt across the world.
Whilst we cannot be sure how long it will take to defeat the Coronavirus; we can be certain that we will get through these difficult times
Like most of you, THSP have been working around the clock to plan how we can continue to support our customers whilst ensuring their health and that of our employees.
Our first step was to make sure that we can continue to provide health, safety and employment advice to our customers.
With regards to training, despite all of our efforts to ensure the highest standards of hygiene, it became clear that it was impossible to identify whether delegates were carrying the virus, and this placed other customers and our employees at risk. Last week we therefore took the decision to cancel all classroom-based training until at least the end of April.
Through consultation with our employees we have been able to make arrangements for all of our employees to be able to work from home wherever possible.
Currently, we are doing all we can to risk assess and continue with the feasible delivery of site safety evaluations. These will take place strictly in line with the Construction Leadership Councils guidance on maintaining social distancing on construction sites.
For audit clients we are restructuring delivery of the service into two phases, with the first phase to be delivered remotely, allowing us to update policies and procedures and ensure they are in place in time for when this situation changes. The second phase will take place later in the year and will include an audit of compliance to take place on site to ensure that procedures are being correctly implemented. Alternatively, if this does not suit your requirements, we can postpone the audit to later in the year. Please talk to your account executive about your options.
We will continue to be working over the next few weeks to provide you with the advice you need to manage your workplace risks, whether they be related to the Coronavirus or not.
As I have said countless times recently, Covid-19 is no respecter of work at height, traffic management plans or asbestos. Whilst workers remain at risk, we will remain active in providing you the support you need to keep your employees healthy and safe.
