Talk to an Advisor

In addition to the useful documentation, all customers on a retained service have full access to our team to ask questions and seek further support.

We have been supporting our customers with their response to Coronavirus since the outbreak.  The list below highlights many of the common issues and how we can help.

Updated Risk Assessments

All risk assessments should be updated to reflect the latest guidance for protecting your employees, customers and the general public from COVID-19.  Approaches to travel, lone working and general daily practices are likely to have changed – they need to be included in your risk assessments.

We have not included COVID-19 in the Risk Assessment Builder.  We advise you to download specific risk assessments from our online portal to suit your needs. We can also help you to update your existing risk assessments, ensuring they are relevant to your business and your risks.

Homeworking or Out on Site

The government’s advice is still to work from home where you can, and this has implications on both health and safety and HR. We can support you in developing the necessary homeworking policies to ensure home workers remain safe.  As offices and shops begin to open, we can help with COVID-19 Risk Assessments and visit your premises to guide you in keeping people safe.

Equally, for those who simply can’t work from home, we’re here to help you too. We have continued to visit sites, factories and workshops.  If you’re working, we’re working, and your health and safety remains important.

We can advise you on how to manage sickness absence and associated pay, as your team members are away from work due to the virus or self-isolation.

Financial Pressures – Short Working Hours, Staff Layoffs

COVID-19 has had a financial impact on most businesses.  Your company may still have to make difficult decisions on how you secure the future of the business while also looking after your staff.

Making short term changes to sustain your business for the long term is vital.  Our Employment Law team can assist with everything from Furlough Letters, Contracts of Employment and Redundancy Advice.  We can also manage COT3 Agreements through ACAS if you want to avoid lengthy redundancy programmes.
