THSP Risk Management is now offering a Paediatric First Aid course (Level 3), available to all who have child welfare at the heart of their working lives. This course is ideal for everyone who regularly works with infants and children across a wide variety of industries, such as teaching and nurseries and is looking at gaining a nationally accredited Level 3 award.
The course includes a wide range of learning objectives to ensure full knowledge of scenarios to help build up the skills to deal with first aid situations likely to arise. All delegates will learn:
- Your responsibilities and reporting
- Assessment of the situation
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Head injuries
- Infantile convulsions
- Foreign bodies
- Control of bleeding
- Eye injuries
- Heat and Cold
- Sickle cell anaemia
The course is delivered over two days, covering and satisfying the criteria set out by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. To pass the course and gain the full Level 3 qualification, all delegates must attend two full days of study and complete two units of accreditation. There is an assessment consisting of both a theory and practical test. Once the course is completed, delegates will receive a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid certificate which is valid for 3 years.
THSP offers this course at venues across the UK for individuals to attend, starting at £126 + VAT per person. We are also available to deliver this training at your own working premises for groups of up to 12 people from £1,200 + VAT plus £15 + VAT per person to cover certification and publication fees.
