Staff from THSP Risk Management are coming together to take part in a number of events throughout the week beginning Monday 31st October, raising money for their three designated charities.
THSP hope that this year’s Charity Week – in support of Help for Heroes, Shepreth Wildlife Conservation & Mesothelioma UK – will break last year’s target. Activities throughout the week include a Halloween Fancy Dress, Bake Off & a Treasure Hunt, all taking place in the Sandy office.
These three charities were chosen because they all have a significant meaning to the business. Help for Heroes provides direct, practical support for wounded, injured and sick Veterans, Servicemen and women and their loved ones – many of THSP’s consultants are ex-armed servicemen.
Shepreth Wildlife Conservation is a local charity which raises funds to support critically endangered species and the onsite Hedgehog Hospital. With the increase of construction in rural areas, many of the hedgehog’s habitats are being destroyed, which could make them an endangered species.
Mesothelioma UK is a charity which supports people with asbestos cancer. This is close to THSP because asbestos is an industry-wide problem which devastates lives and with awareness is preventable.
Adrienne Massey, Managing Director of THSP, hopes that with the support of staff, friends, family and local businesses, they will raise an incredible amount for these three charities.
Adrienne said, “After many years of fundraising this will be the first time that we’ve dedicated a full working week to fundraising activities. We are hoping that we raise much needed funds for these worthwhile charities.”
